Basic Install Overview (Shop or Skilled DIY)

Comprehensive kit. Plan a full day with lift access and standard metric tools. For warranty eligibility, installation by a Ford dealer or ASE-certified technician is required, followed by registration per Ford Performance instructions.

1. Prep & Verify

   • Disconnect battery. Confirm vehicle year/PCM, fuel quality, and space for components.

   • Inventory the kit; review torque specs and belt routing.

2. Disassembly

   • Remove intake tract, throttle body, and factory intake manifold.

   • Access fuel rails/injectors; depin/extend harnesses as instructed.

   • Drain/prepare cooling as required for heat-exchanger plumbing.

3. Supercharger Assembly

   • Install the Whipple 3.0L manifold/SC as a unit with new gaskets and hardware.

   • Torque in sequence; route the provided belt per diagram and set proper tension.

4. Intercooler System

   • Mount heat exchanger, pump, reservoir, and lines.

   • Fill/bleed intercooler circuit; verify pump operation and leak-free connections.

5. Fuel & Air

   • Install supplied injectors/rails (if included for your calibration).

   • Fit high-flow intake components; reconnect EVAP/PCV per kit maps.

6. Calibration

   • Connect the Tomahawk tool; flash the Ford Performance calibration.

   • Clear DTCs; perform idle relearn and verify trims/IATs at operating temp.

7. Final Checks & Road Test

   • Inspect hose clearance, belt tracking, and electrical routing.

   • Warm up, check for leaks, then conduct a progressive test drive—light load to WOT once temps are stable.
