Basic Install Overview (4WD)

Plan a half-day to full day with jack/stands or a lift, alignment afterward.

1. Prep

   • Park on level ground, chock, lift, and support truck safely.

   • Inventory kit; hit OE fasteners with penetrant.

2. Front — Coil-overs & UCAs

   • Remove OE strut assemblies and upper control arms.

   • Install tubular UCAs; torque to spec at ride height. Ridetech

   • Assemble/install front coil-overs with supplied spacers/hardware; snug—don’t final-torque yet. Ridetech

3. Rear — Flip Brackets & HQ Shocks

   • Support axle; unbolt leaf spring U-bolts.

   • Install axle flip brackets per instructions; set initial drop height. Ridetech

   • Fit rear HQ shocks (rebound adjusters accessible). Ridetech

4. Set Ride Height & Clearance

   • Lower to the ground, settle suspension, then set coil-over perch height for desired rake.

   • Check driveshaft, brake line, and sway-bar clearances at full droop/bump.

5. Final Torque & Adjust

   • Torque all fasteners at ride height.

   • Start with middle rebound clicks on HQ shocks; fine-tune after the first drive. Ridetech

6. Align & Re-check

   • Professional alignment required (use Ridetech UCA specs).

   • Re-torque after 100–200 miles and adjust rebound to taste.
